Vinegar with 12% acidity is a remarkable household product that is multi-purpose, ecological and inexpensive. Its properties are numerous: deodorant, descale, cleaner, disinfectant, fabric softener... and its uses are extensive: household, family hygiene, cosmetics. It behaves like a weak acid, which enables it to neutralize weak bases and break down carbonates (including limestone) in particular. Unlike other types of vinegar, it is not made from wine or cider alcohol, but is obtained by fermenting sugar from beet, corn, malt, or wheat. Household vinegar can be used without moderation: it is colorless, its odor evaporates quickly, and it is harmless to the environment. Osmose 12% vinegar is not food-grade. It is therefore not suitable for use as a condiment or food preservative, even diluted.
